Managing Director | Senior Consultant
Marc Willuhn is a seasoned pharmaceutical executive and consultant with over 25 years of experience leading R&D and technical functions in global organisations.
He has held senior management roles with teams spread across multiple continents, with responsibility for budgets and capital investment supporting product portfolios with multi-billion € sales. Over his career, he has executed a number of drug development programmes from preclinical to registration, resulting in several successful product launches in global markets. His CMC expertise spans various modalities, from small molecules and peptides to biologics and cell & gene therapies. Marc holds a PhD in organic chemistry from the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research and a Master in Business Administration.
In 2018, Marc founded Willuhn Consulting to work closely with biotech companies and academic spin-outs, combining operational management experience and technical expertise with a passion for bringing new therapies to patients. He also mentors pre-seed and early-stage teams as they navigate their first challenges on the innovation path.
Marc is an enthusiastic leader, known for a quick grasp of complex data and the ability to connect the dots. Recognized as a trusted advisor and effective communicator, at ease in international environments, fostering collaboration and has driving success across diverse teams. Marc has lived and worked in many countries, and despite being able to converse in many languages, he still tries to learn new ones.
