For Pharma

simplifying the complex

Pharmaceutical companies face persistent pressure from pipeline gaps, cost constraints, and the need to operate with greater agility. Functions may be siloed, overstretched, or insufficiently aligned with broader business objectives.

The innovation challenge is equally pressing: internal R&D alone may not fill the pipeline, while external innovation can be difficult to identify, evaluate, structure, and integrate at scale. Leaders must make critical decisions about where to invest, what to outsource, and how to organise their businesses to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving environment.

Strategy and Organization

We support pharmaceutical leaders with strategic and organisational consulting across technical functions, including R&D, CMC, clinical supply, and operations. We help design fit-for-purpose organisations by clarifying roles, decision rights, interfaces, and ways of working—enabling teams to move faster while maintaining control.

Our work includes portfolio prioritisation, make-or-buy decisions, and operating-model redesign, particularly when companies are reshaping their technical capabilities following a restructuring, carve-out, or broader transformation.

Innovation and Collaboration

Innovation is more than discovering new molecules or adopting new technologies. It is the ability to turn scientific ideas into viable projects that create value for patients and the business. This requires strong internal R&D alongside the ability to identify, evaluate, and integrate external ideas from academia, start-ups, and strategic partners.

We help companies create the conditions for innovation to thrive by defining clear priorities, developing practical collaboration models, and enabling teams to work together more effectively. We also support start-up scouting, innovation competitions, innovation jams, and hackathons—helping surface promising ideas and connect them with the right people internally. The goal is to build a stronger innovation culture in which employees take ownership, external opportunities are assessed deliberately, and collaboration leads to measurable progress.

Interim Support

When a key team member leaves or organisational change creates a temporary leadership gap, we provide experienced interim leaders to maintain momentum and bring an independent perspective. Having worked across a range of organisations, our interim leaders can challenge assumptions, identify hidden inefficiencies, introduce effective ways of working, and accelerate change.

An interim leader can run a function, lead a critical workstream, or bridge a capability gap while strengthening processes, clarifying decision rights, and developing the team. Where needed, we also support the recruitment and onboarding of a permanent successor, ensuring continuity and a smooth handover.
